Denise Griffitts Interviews ‘The Journaling Jenius’, Judy Peebles

Please join me this Friday, December 5, 2008 as I chat with Judy Peebles.  Judy is an International Speaker, Business Skills Trainer and Business Coach. After 25 years of corporate experience, including sales operations, group dynamics, marketing, and technical training, she leapt off the corporate ladder in 2007 and founded her own company, Peebles Pursuits, Inc.  She calls herself The Journaling Jenius.  She has a passion for self-exploration through journal writing as a path for personal growth, as Judy says, “to become more of who I am.”

Topics we will be covering include:

Journaling for your business

Thinking on paper - clarity and focus

Goal setting and setting priorities

Celebrating successes

Decision making and problem solving

Journaling with a keyboard vs. a traditional journal. (Judy and I have had some long chats about this one!)

Unlike some business coaches, Judy takes a holistic approach and consciously considers the impact of the business on the individual and vice versa.  She then calls on a variety of coaching methodologies to help her client’s address any issues that may stand in their way.

Journaling isn’t just for angst filled schoolgirls.  It allows you to think on paper.  Lots of coaches, counselors and therapists advise their clients to keep a journal.  Judy actually teaches you how to make journal writing productive and beneficial both on a personal and a business level.

For instance, it can be used for creative brainstorming, planning, stress relief, and conflict management.  As a practicing Virtual Assistant I truly understand the need for this!

Whether you’ve been journaling or writing in a diary all your life, or you’ve never put pen to paper to express yourself at all,  Judy will help you get started, re-vitalize your journaling practice, or take a current practice to the next level.
