Need a Personal Assistant For Your Blog? Try Zemanta

I recently discovered Zemanta which is a nifty little blogging tool that saves you time, brings more traffic to your blog and makes your post more aesthetically pleasing.  It is like having a little personal assistant sitting at your elbow while you blog.

When I first became aware of it, I largely ignored the tool as it was a Firefox addon and I generally only use Firefox for testing during website development.  Once they released an IE version though, I was good to go.

As you saw in the video, Zemanta is  a revolutionary new platform that accelerates on-line content production.  Create your text (blog article or web page) and it will be directly “read” by Zemanta which recognizes all contextual content.  It will then comb the web for the most relevant images, smart links, keywords and text, all the while instantly serving them to you. You can then choose the content and images that you would like to help enrich your blog post. The good news is that Zemanta can now be deployed on all major content publishing platforms and web browsers through a simple plug-in.

Want to have some fun with it and test drive before you decide to download? Head on over to Zemanta’s “Z Demo” and prepare to be impressed.

By the way, Zemanta is free.  Enjoy!
