Assist Your Client in Building a Membership Site
Customers give their trust in the act of purchasing a product or service once they feel they know and like the person from whom they are buying. Your client will benefit from a membership program that provides low-risk, high-return information to “members only.” A membership program is an excellent way to capture information about prospects before they buy so you can better understand the products, services and offers that will compel them to buy. In addition, there are many clients who could charge a monthly fee for members to get “unlimited access” to daily or weekly updates. This new profit stream will be beneficial to you and your client.
There are a number of membership building tools available in the market. Some tools are free while others cost a reasonable fee. Two such tools that I use and recommend are WP Wishlist and iGrOOps. Once you identify and understand your client’s needs you can better assess which tools might be appropriate. Your client’s budget and the tool’s ease of use should be considered. You don’t want to create a site that requires extensive work each day or week. If it is going to cost the client more time and money than seems reasonable, it won’t work for either of you.
Once the membership site is built, you can market to your client’s existing customers and prospects or use his /her social media presence to market to new prospects. Remember to invite the client’s vendors into the community. Vendors should have their own membership level and have access to information that helps them better serve your client and your client’s customers.
All wealthy business owners have vast networks and are critical conduits of value in these communities. Helping your client build his own community and become a conduit of value will further enhance your business and your profitability. Successfully implementing a membership program will lead to recommendations and new prospects for you.
