Software Tools to Monitor and Increase Productivity

All virtual assistants are very much aware of time expenditures and I am always looking for software applications that can track time so that we can avoid time seepage and be much more effective during our workday.  Do you need to know how much time is spent on a particular project, website visit, or application?  I recently came across a free desktop software called Fruitful Time Productivity Meter.  This very useful application enables you to identify time wasting habits by providing you with real-time activity reports.

The free for personal use version (The business version was just released in time for Christmas) offers monitoring, analytics and productivity enhancement. It does not require that you are connected to the internet and is totally secure and private.  You can track programs and those websites that you visit out of sheer force of habit several times a day.  For me, it’s the Drudge Report.  Once I realized how often I stopped by I was able to catch myself and limit my time there to more manageable and reasonable chunks of time.

This tool also tracks window and document titles, gives you detailed and accurate time tracking, provides automatic timesheets, as well as tagging and time filtering. Your data is saved on your computer forever.  Thankfully, it is easy to install and is lightweight meaning that it does not chew up a lot of your systems resources.
