VA Training

I met Denise Griffitts on Facebook in May of 2007. At that time I had just designed my very first website and just knew that this was all I needed to launch my career as a Virtual Assistant. I had great office skills and had worked as a Legal Secretary and was convinced that this was my market. Boy was I wrong! I spent more hours that I like to admit to trudging from law office to law office only to find that I was wasting time, gas, and emotional energy. In sheer desperation I sent Denise a note on Facebook asking if she could advise me. Truthfully, I didn’t really expect an answer and was completely floored when I picked up the phone one day to hear her voice saying, “How can I help you?” During the call Denise asked me what I was really good at, and more importantly what I really enjoyed doing. I replied that I really enjoyed transcription. She told me then that I needed to market what I knew best and stop trying to be everything to everybody. Well, she told me a lot of things, but that is what really stuck in my mind. Denise has so energized my thinking that I no longer have to knock on doors and beg for work. She is honest, forthright, a great person, and friend as well as my VA Coach. So listen to what Denise has to say, follow her every move, do as she suggests and you will be successful. I know that because of her advice and counsel I am now known as “The Transcription Lady”. – Julia Wojdacz, Julia’s Virtual Assistant Service a/k/a The Transcription Lady
